Abilities: Necromancy: a passive withering touch (slowly transfers life to self over extensive periods of time, but a fairly immediate “withering” effect on the touched), bone and teeth magic, death sense (can tell when things die nearby, and the locations where a large amount of things die in a short period of time). She can form armor from her own bones, however the process is painful, exhausting, and quite bloody. She can also create ghost light.

Bio*: Both of her parents were Necromancer Familiars. Her mother, Ulna, and father, Osteon, were together around 200 years before Marrow was born, however Marrow's withering touch resulted in Ulna becoming very sick and dying shortly after her birth. Osteon, being a Familiar, had already undergone one huge loss, and so he was hit very hard by this second loss, and did not take it well. In an act of desparation, he attempted to revive her unaware of the consequences. This resulted in Ulna becoming a Fallen, and attacking him. He managed to make an escape with Marrow.
As a result, Osteon went insane and moved back to where his master lived in the ruins: the Underdistrict, Level 2. While Marrow lived there she was never taught Necromancy, and he blamed her for Ulna's death entirely and did not treat her well. However, she did observe him fairly frequently from a distance and practiced on her own out of his sight.
After growing up most of her childhood there, Marrow was abandoned at a fairly young age by him and was left without any formal training nor any skills to read. At this opportunity, she ran away as far as she could, leaving the ruins, and when she finally found herself a place to settle down, she experimented and came up with her own spells through constant experimentation.

Personality: She’s a loner, prefers to spend all her time by herself. Very paranoid and does not trust others easily. She prefers to distance herself and not make close bonds to others.

Goals: Bettering her Necromancy skills, but none beyond that.

Likes: Being alone, bones, nuts, dust
Dislikes: Company, cleanliness

Extra: She always carries one particular large bone with here everywhere which she primarily uses for self defense. Because of her withering touch, she has to move between different trees. Additionally she can make bone marionettes to follow her around and run small errands for her. She'll dig up graves for bones when supplies lying around are low and lives near to a cemetery.

He wears a small witch's hat over his left ear, tilted to the side. It is white, and has a blood red strap, where the brim and cone meet. jarla wears a Pharaoh Beard made of silver on his chin, while on his front paws he waers forearm bracers, also made of silver
Over his heart, Jarla bears a Mage Mark that is neon pink in color that is the shape of a pentacle with a bow to the left side of it. Oh his back he wears a small satchel to carry stuff.

Bio: After leaving his feral family, Rusty accompanied a group of jovial, fun-loving otter dregs. They taught him fishing and boating, and helped him perfect his swimming and playfulness techniques. Rusty eventually left, and took up a hobby of finding and trading special items, which he stores in secret burrows.

Goals: To enjoy himself, and to live easily

Likes: Company, attention, pleasure, hoarding, fishing, and occasionally stealing
Dislikes: Emotional attachments, impoliteness, heights

Extra: He can’t read, but he enjoys looking at pictures and maps. Rusty doesn’t understand the bond Familiars had with their masters at all, and has difficulty with deeply personal conversation. Biography
Daughter of Frost Tail, Ice Paw has lead a lonely life separated from would-be friends by her natural aura of cold. She does her best to not let it get her down, and is friendly and pleasant to everyone, even though many cannot tolerate her presence. She is very close to her father, who she calls Papa and Tlaetiaf whom she refers to as 'Auntie Tlae'

She had a budding relationship with the enigmatic Fire Bird, before he disappeared due to unknown circumstances.

Personality:
Bramble is a happy, and helpful fellow. He enjoys learning and teaching, and will often try to explain what he's doing when he works magic in front of others. He's fairly easy going, but will get nervous and "fidget" in some situations. The easiest way to tell how he's feeling is to watch his vines, they've been with him since nearly the beginning of his travels, and can pick up on some of his subtlest emotions.
When his plants are on the line, he tends to change. He's very protective of them, and will snap and curse out anyone who damages even a strange plant needlessly. If possible, he may even help the plants to take revenge for the treatment.

Biography:
Hatched to a Familiar father, Gustiv, and an Uplift mother, Rose, Bramble is the middle child of three. His older sister, and younger sister both showed an affinity for a mix of their parents magic, but seemed weak in both as a result. Bramble, on the other hand, inherited only his mother's floramancy, to his father's disappointment. His sisters were trained by both parents, though it was agree early that they would probably never excel at either magic. Arella and Bellis didn't mind though, they were happy being able to perform little tricks with magic.
Bramble, on the other hand, was taught by his mother along, though his father did join in a few times, and certainly encouraged his boy. The encouragement was almost unneeded, as Bramble absorbed information readily and quickly. It didn't take long before he'd surpassed his sibling in ability, and his mother separated his classes as a result. The only thing that his parents worried about was his silence. Even as his sisters began talking, chattering and generally making a ruckus with words, Bramble said nothing. His sisters didn't see the problem, and often acted as translators for his looks to their parents.
It was only shortly after their first hatch-day celebration that Bramble finally spoke up. He said a single sentence, "I can talk, I just didn't have anything to say." His sisters found it hilarious, and his parent were relieved. Over the next few weeks, he went over a plan with his parents. Bramble wanted to travel, and learn from others now that his mother had taught him all she knew. Gustiv was pleased with the idea, proud of his boy's initiative and drive. Rose worried for him, but Bramble assured her that as long as he had his plants, he'd be alright.
So, he left, traveling the small continent and learning from any magic user that would teach him. He learned more about his plants, and even some basic healing skills. He excelled at herbal medicines, of course, and quickly built up a small collection of first aid plants and seeds he always carried with him. Bramble also tended to carry several varieties of edible plants, though he wasn't much of a plant eater himself. He used his collection to help anyone he met as he traveled.

Abilities: Plant Magic(aka Floramancy/Cytisomancy), Plant based healing.
(More specifically, he can encourage rapid growth with varying degrees of difficulty depending on the plant and a few other circumstances. He can also manipulate plants to make them grow in certain shapes, and fuse several plants together from seeds to get certain characteristics from each plant, also with varying degrees of difficulty. He can also communicate to a point with plants, learning about his surrounding from them. Lastly, he can draw energy from plants, but he would only do this in an extreme emergency, as there's a high likelyhood of this leaving the plants near death, or dead.
He uses herbs and seeds in varying mashes and teas to encourage healing in the sick or to discourage infection. He can grow splints for those with broken bones.)


Likes: Plants(and all things related to them), water, rain, helping others, learning, basking in the sun.
Dislike: People hurting his plants deliberately & without reason, conflict, being held against his will, hurting plants unduly.

Goals: Keep traveling and helping other. Learn more about magic, especially plant and medicinal based magics.

Extra: Bramble has several 'bolt holes' scattered throughout the lands he traverses, most all are created through his abilities to manipulate plants. All are well hidden, usually also with use of his abilities. Each 'bolt hole' has supplies and stores of seeds and dried plants. They also usually have some specially made bowls and utensils that Bramble may want to use.
Like many lizards, Bramble can reach his eyes with his tongue to clean them.

Personality:
Jander is, as a rule, very laid back. He's got a thick skin on him, literally and figuratively. Teasing is accepted jovially, but true tormenting is ignored. He rarely gets angry, hasn't ever in memory in fact. At most, he will get upset, and will leave, getting away from what is upsetting him. He doesn't believe in revenge or fighting, but will hold a grudge against those who wrong him, often nearly ignoring them. Interaction with them will always be held on a business level only.

Biography:
Jander was born across the lake on the diagonal into a clan of pangolins. The ruins of the Imperial City but a distant smudge from his home. His mother and father were both Uplifts, mother a Metalmancer and father a Pyromancer, and fairly well off in the clan. They held little care for each other, or for Jander. They'd been pushed to join by the clan elders, and though they could have gotten away with refusing because of their magic, they so no reason to. They were very loyal to the clan. Unfortunately, Jander was an only child, though he inherited a portion of both of his parents' abilities, which was seen as fortuitous, and was the result hoped for from his parents joining.
Jander trained with his parents while young, learning to control heat and metal as well as he could. He was much better with metal then heat, but seemed immune to being burned, a fair ability for metal working. When he was old enough, he decided to partition to travel to a true blacksmith's shop, and see if he would be accepted as an apprentice. It took several weeks to convince the elders of the clan to allow him to leave, and in the end they extracted a promise from him to return after two years to give them a showing of what he's learned. A promise Jander had no intention of keeping.
Jander rarely talks about his home, and when he does, he tends to tell entertaining stories of his cousins, who aren't always related to him by blood, instead of telling any actual information about the clan.
He has been with Iron Core since arriving, for nearly two years now.

Abilities: Mix of Metal Magic(Metallomancy) and Fire Magic(Pyromancy).
(More specifically: Jander can sense metals, and tell them apart even without seeing them. He has a little control over metal as well, but not much which is complicated by the metals own unwillingness to mold or bend. He can bring warmth into an object and himself, or draw heat out of an object. Jander can also endure almost extreme temperatures. His fur may singe, but he's unlikely to be burned. Jander's scales are made of an almost living metal, an alloy of minerals in his diet that closely resembles steel in properties, despite their reddish tint. Jander will sometimes ingest certain metals to enhance the scales.)

Likes: Warmth, bug stew, metals, blacksmithing.
Dislike: Liars, thieves, anger, violence.

Goals: Keep traveling and helping other. Learn more about magic, especially plant and medicinal based magics.

Extra: He was mugged on the journey to Iron Core, and still holds a grudge against thieves and liars because of this.

Personality - Iron Core is rough to get along with, due to being strict and critical of others. While his friends are few, he is fiercely loyal to the village and its inhabitants.

Biography

The village blacksmith. Married to the missing Greenwinde, father of Slyveria, mentor of Jander, and well connected (though perhaps not friendly) with the villagers. He is usually extremely focused on his work, supplying the village with tools and weapons, and is usually only seen outside on business, though on rare occasions he has been seen talking to his oldest friend, Frost Tail. Much of his history is a well gaurded secret, though rumors that he has drawn the ire of his grandfather, a Familiar of no small power, in order to protect his daughter.

Abilities
Metallomancy: Metal Magic. He is quite proficient with his magic, perhaps more so than other Uplifts due to his age and his experience gathering materials from dangerous regions such as the Imperial City ruins. However, his magical skill has declined as of late due to the demands of his time from his daughter and apprentice, keeping him from his rigorous training routines. His innate Uplift ability manifests itself as a magnetic field that draws metallic objects to him, though his expertise with metallomancy has allowed him to suppress the aura. He often fails to maintain this suppression if his temper flares, or if he is exhausted magically.

Biography The village Mortician, and collector of various enchanted items. Born to feral parents he "awoke" at an early age.

Abilities
no magical abilities, some medical experience (albeit on the dead), unaffected by the sight or stench of death/blood/gore.

Likes being morbid, working with cadavers, anatomy, bones, nuts, collecting enchanted items

Dislike Overly exuberant or flashy people, anyone staring at his scars

Extra
Always has an enchanted pocket-watch on his person, which masks his living aura from the undead, and only ticks while the damned are nearby. His clothes are almost ALWAYS stained with blood and other fluids, most notably, the forearms of his shirt. he does however keep his hands clean. he has a gnarly scar running up his neck, and is missing most of his right ear.
